The first 6
are newbie dungeons and are restricted to Level 6 and under, except for Holtburg,
which allows up to level 10.
Worn
Rusty Key
This key is found on the corpse of a Drudge Slinker in Samsur's Dungeon Manor
(2.0S, 19.8E). Find the stairs that go down several levels. The Slinker is in a
group of several other drudges.
Worn
Small Key
The Worn Small Key can be found on a White Rat in the Holtburg Dungeon (43.6N,
33.0E). Holtburg Dungeon is restricted to Levels 1-10. The key is in one of the
upper levels of the dungeon. Find the larger library room and go down the short
ramp. At the bottom will be a room with 2 doors and 2 rats. One of the rats has
the key. There are undead and Liches in the lower levels, so be careful!
The
Worn Old Key
This key can be obtained from a Drudge Slinker in the Throne Room of the Shoushi
Grotto (34.4S, 72.8E). It's deep at the end of the dungeon, near an exit portal.
The Slinker is in a rather large group of drudges, so it might be a good idea to
bring help along.
Worn
Strange Key
The Worn Strange Key can be obtained from a Drudge Slinker in the Yaraq Tunnels
(24.8S, 1.4W). This key is a little harder to get than the others in the newbie
dungeons. Go down a few levels and look for the stairway with grated doors on
either side and enter the right one. Go through the next set of doors. Look
carefully for a hallway -- 2nd on the left. It's hard to see, so you might bring
a torch to help illuminate your way. Go through the door at the end and the key
will be on the drudge inside.
The Worn
Plain Key
The Worn
Plain Key can be obtained from a Drudge Slinker in the Yanshi Tunnels (12.1S,
45.6E). Go down a few levels until you see a room with two tables. There are
drudges in the room and drudges behind a locked gate. The key is on one of the
drudges not behind the locked gate.
Worn Odd
Key
The Worn Odd Key can be found on a White Rat in the Rithwic Crypt (14.0N,
59.1E). The rat is on the second level down. Start by going left and passing
through several junctions. Look for a doorless room on the left with three
Gnawer Shreths. Open the doors to the left and head down passage. Make a left at
the room at the bottom. Left again at the dead end and you'll see the rat.
A
Silvery Mysterious Key
The Travel to the Carved Caves (72.1N, 35.6W) near Stonehold to find the 7th
Silvery, Mysterious Key, the most difficult to obtain. This dungeon is
restricted to Levels 17+ and contains Shadows, Skeletons, Gromnies and more. The
key is found at the bottom, inside a chest guarded by Shadows and Shadow
Children. To make your way down, you'll first need to find two keys. The
first, the Carved Key, is in a chest located in the second tunnel on the
left. Use the key on a wooden door inside the dungeon. Work your way past the
Monougas, then jump to the next level down. Fight through some Ivory Gromnies to
another chest containing a Small Carved Key. Again, use the key on a
wooden door to go deeper into the dungeon. Jump skill comes into play once more
at this point. You'll encounter a ledge you'll need to lunge across. As you go
deeper down, you'll encounter the Shadows that are guarding the chest containing
the seventh key, A Silvery, Mysterious Key, used in the Halls of Lost
Light. There are portals at the bottom to Qalaba'r and to the Direlands. The
portal to the Direlands is restricted to Level 21+.
Halls of Lost Light
To get to the Halls of Lost Light (76.7S, 74.8W, restricted to Levels 25+) you
can portal to the Direlands from the end of the Carved Caves (72.1N, 35.6W),
although this portal is restricted to Levels 21+, from there, run to the POI to
the Southwest to find the Halls of Lost Light. An alternative route is to take
the Mayoi portal to the Direlands (61.0S, 82.0E), which will drop you, closer to
the HOLL than the Carved Caves portal; however, the run is still very brutal!
Wear your sprinting slippers!
Sword of Lost Light
To win your sword, you must kill the Guardian of the Lost Light in the final
room of the dungeon. The Halls are inhabited by a few Lich Lords, Liches galore,
and by a Granite Golem. Bring at least two other high level players with you and
your magic resistance jewelry.
Use your hard earned keys in the Halls of Lost Light to work your way down to
the lowest level, where the Guardian resides. The only way to tell which key
works with each door is to test them. Don't worry! You won't lose your keys by
trying them on the wrong door. Each key has three uses, so if you die while
inside the Halls, you will still have a chance to recover your corpse.
The Guardian is behind the only wooden door in the lowest level. Try and clear
the room of the Liches in the various chambers before opening the door to the
Guardian, in order to minimize your chances of dying. Remember that the Sword of
Lost Light cannot be dropped or given away, so make sure the right person loots
the corpse of the Guardian. The Guardian respawns in 15 minute intervals.
