Ø Begin by getting the Broken Staff from the 4 Towers outside of Zaikhal (Level 20+). Bring an L note with you and give to the man outside to enter the temple. He will instruct you to go to the mage in the Mite Maze after you have collected the Broken Staff. Bring help to the 4 Towers. There are 3 undead priests, and an undead high priest at the end. The Broken Staff is on the Undead High Priest. Ø Take the Broken Staff to the Mite Maze (41.1 N, 57.3 E - level 8 and up) and give it to Harlune the Misanthrope, who is behind a locked door (you will need lockpick, recommended 100+). Stay on the main level, work your way East. The path to Harlune is the Eastern path from a 4-way intersection. The hallway slopes up, ending at a door with Alfrega the tame Reedshark behind it. Don't kill Alfrega. This is the only door in the dungeon, so if you find a door, you're there. Harlune will give you a smelting pot in exchange for the Broken Staff, and will instruct you to go to Colier mines to get the ore. Ø In Colier Mines you need a key from a Undead Miner who is in a small locked room. The iron ore is no longer available in the Arwic Mines. Ø Once you have the ore you'll need a alchemist with skill 200+ to combine the ore with pot to get a slag (the pot will disappear). [The patch is supposed to have made the pot usable by alchemists of any skill level.] Take the slag back to Harlune the Mage in the Mite Maze and he will give you the Impious Staff. Ø The Staff cannot be dropped or given away.
